The attack on a school security guard by Detroit Cass Tech quarterback Jayru Campbell stunned the public more than any other recent prep sports event.

The in-hall resource officer was injured when the then-Michigan State commits infamously body slammed him, putting Campbell on the verge of being found guilty of felonious assault and sending Campbell to a relatively short and delayed stint in jail.

Campbell was let out of jail. Within a few hours, he had become the worst kind of a walking, talking recidivism statistic.

After a Police standoff in Oakland County, former quarterback Jayru Campbell was taken into custody.

After a standoff with authorities, a former Cass Tech quarterback who was jailed in 2014 for body-slamming a security guard was taken into custody.

According to news sources, Jayru Campbell, a former quarterback for Ferris State University, is currently being held at the Oakland County Jail following an incident over the weekend at a mental health facility in Auburn Hills.

On his Facebook page, Campbell Campbell, who turns 26 on Tuesday, broadcast the altercation with the neighborhood Police. He published two videos of the confrontation.

In one of the films, which has a runtime of more than eight minutes, Campbell is shown holding a young child. Campbell’s daughter was born in the year 2020.

What Did Jayru Campbell Do- Arrest And Charge

According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, Campbell is presently detained at the jail while awaiting accusations and an arraignment.

The office added that he was jailed on Christmas Day.

Campbell has previously had run-ins with the law. Due to a misdemeanor assault accusation and subsequent plea agreement concerning the altercation with a high school security guard, he was sentenced to 60 days in jail on May 30, 2014.

The football star at the time was 17 years old and a junior. After an incident involving his girlfriend in his senior year, he was taken into custody.

Sources informed the Free Press that Campbell had been spotted hitting his girlfriend.

He was detained at the Detroit Detention Center after being taken into custody by Police from the Detroit Public Schools.

Who is Jayru Campbell?

Jayru Campbell was the offensive unit’s Leader and one of the top 10 statistical leaders in the country in terms of overall offense, running, passing efficiency, and first downs.

Midway through his junior year of high school, in January 2014, Campbell was detained for body-slamming a security guard.

He ultimately entered a guilty plea for serious assault and was imprisoned all summer.

He was re-arrested on a domestic violence charge on September 12, 2014, the day after he was released from jail, following an altercation with his ex-girlfriend.

For breaking the terms of his probation, he received a seven-month sentence, and much of what was intended to be his final year of high school was spent in prison.

After receiving his high school graduation online, Campbell enrolled at Garden City Community College that autumn.

He resumed his football career there before transferring to Ferris State as a junior. Campbell was released from prison in January 2015.

He accounted for more than 4,000 offensive yards in the previous season.
