More like friends in super-high places! Justin Timberlake surprised fans at his Nashville concert this past weekend by performing a cover of Garth Brooks' "Friends in Low Places."
"I mean, this is the country music capital of the world, right?" he said to his thousands of screaming fans, who sang along with the pop star for a spirited rendition of the country hit. Halfway through the song, Timberlake paused and noted: "Hold on now — something don't feel right. Something don't feel right, Nashville… I mean, if you're gonna do this — Garth?!"
Brooks, 52, suddenly walked out onto the stage, and gave Timberlake a big hug. "Ladies and gentlemen: Mr. Garth Brooks," Jessica Biel's husband, 33, introduced the legend. On stage, Timberlake and Brooks belted the lyrics of "Friends in Low Places" together, with the energized future dad hopping up and down onstage with his guitar.
As seen in footage from the wild concert, Brooks sang the missing "third verse" — the part that wasn't part of the formal recording of the single — after much pleading from Timberlake and the crowd. "People, we gotta show the young guy how to do it."
Brooks later took to his Instagram to share an amazing perspective from above the stage of his guest duet with Timberlake.

Timberlake, meanwhile, missed the wedding of his former 'N Sync bandmate Lance Bass this past weekend due to his 20/20 Experience World Tour schedule. Former bandmates JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick, however, were all at the swanky Park Plaza Hotel to witness Bass exchange vows with his love Michael Turchin.
